Hi friends! Today I wish to share my experiences when I visited Udaipur and the places which I liked. Yes Udaipur which is a city of lakes. Udaipur is a lovely land around the azure water lakes hemmed in by the lush hills of the Aravalis. A vision in white drenched in romance and beauty, Udaipur is a fascinating blend of sights. It was month of June the holiday season and we planned to visit Udaipur in these holidays. I was excited about this but I don’t know was the trip going to be or would it be a trip of worth remembering for a lifetime? Indeed this was the trip of my life time we enjoyed very much.
We were supposed to stay in the Devigarh Resort, but had to ask for a transfer after we arrived there to find building work going on all around the resort (there were about 20 people hammering away at stones on the balcony belong our window). What could have been a disaster turned out to be a godsend because our travel agent in India transferred us to the Udaivilas. If you’re going to Udaipur, don’t even hesitate a second to go here. It may be expensive, but if you have to splash out once in a lifetime, this is the place to do it. The design of the hotel may not be as hip as the Devigarh, but everything else about it is exceptional. First of all, it is their service. It is absolutely out-of-this-world. Attentive, elegant and refined plus, they have a good tipping system – you leave an envelope at the end of your stay rather than having to individually tip everyone who does something for you. Then, there are the beds – the most comfortable that I’ve ever slept in. They were actually so wonderful that it was hard to get up in the morning. You can also dine overlooking the lake, which is a wonderful experience. The food is good in fact it is excellent. It was a great experience to stay in The Udaivilas. I will recommend everyone that if anyone is planning to visit Udaipur then please go to the Oberai Udaivilas.
